How I work

I start from the decision, not the data. Before building anything, I look at the task from a CFO's perspective. Exactly what management needs to see to make a given call quickly and on fact rather than instinct: true profitability by product or line, a reliable cash picture, the real return on a planned investment. Then I find where that information is stuck. It can be the ERP that won't produce it, the production or CRM system whose data never reaches finance, or the manual workarounds filling the gap.

Then I build the answer myself. Rather than a multi-year system replacement, I create a tool, usually in Excel, that pulls the data together and produces the analysis you're missing, built around how your business actually runs. This is unusual at CFO level: I don't pass the work to juniors or leave you with a deck of recommendations; instead I hand over a working instrument you can use from day one.

I work in plain terms rather than theory, discreetly, and always to a scope agreed up front so the value is clear from the start. Years in high-pressure turnarounds and US-government finance taught me to be accurate, impartial, and focused on what actually moves your bottom line.
